3 roles/work opportunies in print media.


Columnist:

A columnist is a person that gives and adds information, often highly oppinionated, to the columns of newspapers, and magazines. Columnists are journalists who write series for publication.



Editor:

Editors select and prepare language and images for the newspaper or magazine. i you decide to be an editor you will find yourself in one of a few editorial positions like junior editorail assistant or senior executive editor.




Photojournalist:

Photojournalists create images in order to tell a news story. A photojournalist like a writer is a reporter and often have to make quick decisions and carry photographic equipment.

Newspapers and magazines are becoming less popular as the internet and television is becoming much more accesable.
The internet and tv have made it easier and faster to get information with the latest hard hitting news available at the touch of a button.
As people are becoming more lazy the internet and television provides a way to get the news without the hassle.
Overseas Interviews are made easier with things such as skype making travelling or pricey international calls a thing of the past.
Even note taking is made easier with new programs typing for you as you dictate.
Now your phone can be used as dictator, and you can even have a conference without even leaving the house.

News media is presented in print media (newpapers, magazines), broadcast media ( radio stations, television stations, television networks ) and internet based media (world wide web pages, weblogs).

back in the water an hour was a surfer was attacked by a shark at Bronte Beach.



Simon letch was surfing just 40 metres off the beach at about 6.30 this morning when he spotted a 1.5 meter shark.



"i was just about to turn and sit on the board when the shark took a bite," Leitch said.



After taking another bite of the surfboard the shark lost interest and Mr Lietch caught a wave back to the beach.



The shark was a bronze colour and it's fin had a black stripe.



"You would think you would go to jelly after something like this happened but i was suprisingly calm."



The Sydney Morning Herald illustrater joined a group of 20 surfers back into water just one hour back into the water just one hour after the attack.
